| 释义 | ohmmeter Any direct-reading instrument for measuring the value of a resistance in ohms. The instrument commonly used is a multimeter capable of measuring also both currents and voltages. To measure resistance a dry cell and resistor are switched in series with the moving coil galvanometer and the unknown resistance is connected across the instrument's terminals.
