| 释义 | Higgs boson A spin-zero particle with a nonzero mass, predicted by Peter Higgs (1929– ) to exist in certain gauge theories, in particular in electroweak theory. The Higgs boson has not yet been found but it is thought likely that it will be found by larger accelerators in the next few years, especially since other associated features of the theory, including W and Z bosons, have been found.
